Helmet was formed in New York City in 1989 by founding members Page Hamilton, Henry Bogdan, Peter Mengede and John Stanier. The group signed to Amphetamine Reptile Records, and released their first full-length album, Strap It On, in 1991. Interscope Records soon came calling and signed the band in 1992. Read more

Sonic Shapes DVD
Our very own Page Hamilton now has his very own guitar instruction DVD, Sonic Shapes, available through Hal Leonard.
The disc includes detailed discussions of Page’s approach to music theory and practice, from scales and chords through to effects and tone. Not only that, a selection of live Helmet performances are included as a bonus!
