Crazy Night?!

Just came across this on iTunes... a Helmet recording we haven't discussed here?! It's called Crazy Night, and it's on some compilation of cover songs called "Guilt By Association Vol. 3"... which it says was released on Nov 15, 2011. Track 5. I don't know who did the song originally... Googling turned up the Kiss album called Crazy Nights, but it doesn't sound like anything on that.

I didn't know it either, but I like it a bit. More of a headphone track to me.

I saw this on Spotify to see if there was any overlooked Helmet track I missed. And so there was this vague recollection it was discussed here and that's why this posting is coming back to life.

I kind of like this tune...Helmet's interpretation that is. It's supposed to be Page's guilty pleasure song that he contributed to this series of compilation projects and, apparently, Loudness was the original band who played this. It's totally cheesy 80s arena metal, but I think Page manage to give it a subtle dark tone that makes it slightly unsettling and more interesting to listen to.
