Any word on when this thing will ship?

It's now October 2 and i still haven't gotten anything in the mail (well, i got the laminate) ... an email a week or two ago said sorry for the delay. Apparently I am getting a signed poster added to the package (although if it's the incredibly creepy album cover I'm not sure i want it LOL).

But anyway, does anyone know what the deal is with the delay? Thank god I got the download at least, although I never was able to get the download of the 2006 Vans Warped Tour show. That link seemed to have shut down after a very short time.

Looking forward to seeing them in Baltimore and West chester PA in three weeks!

You should email TopSpinMedia as the original downloads were 'time sensitive'.

Same thing happened to me and I contacted them. I received a reply within about 2 hours with new download links.

I'm still waiting on my Deluxe Edition though...

I am sorry to hear that you have yet to receive your order. I checked with my production team and was advised that there was a delay in shipping because we were actually waiting for out of stock merchandise ( vinyls) from Helmet to be replenished. We recently received a new shipment and will be shipping this, along with the remainder of your order immediately from Los Angeles via USPS. You should be receiving your package soon.

Again, so sorry about the delay.

I think I've decided that if my deluxe packages (I ordered 2) don't come in by Tuesday I'm going to dispute the charges on my credit card since I never received the items. That will be exactly two weeks from when they said they would ship the last time they emailed everyone about delays. I'm tired of waiting on this. Every week they push it back further, or make empty promises. I've emailed Audiolife and Maine Road Mgmt for weeks, and they initially responded but now aren't even replying. I just don't really see how hard it is to put shit in a box and mail it when you say you're going to. They should have made the appropriate moves to make sure everything was ready to go before offering it to the public.

I have to say it also pisses me off that I was charged immediately for the purchase on my credit card. Most places tend to not charge until the item actually ships! They're not even communicating to the customers anymore. Lame all around.

I'm all for supporting Helmet, which is why I ordered the Deluxe Package, but I gotta say after this I'm not so sure I'd it again.

Buying almost only vinyl, I am not really surprised, worried, or pissed. It's the way it is. I have pending pre-orders from April which are paid but haven't arrived. Longest wait was like 10 months maybe. Doesn't happen always of course, but it seems just more complex if vinyl is involved.

Having said this, it would be nice if they at least let us know what's going on. http://www.helmetmusic.com still says that "CDs and 12" Vinyl ordered before September 1st will be delivered by September 7th. Deluxe boxes will be shipped prior to release date, or as close to release date as possible" on the first page. This indeed is very odd.

As I said in another thread, it's actually a violation of credit card industry rules to charge a card before items ship (or are sent electronically, as applicable). That's why places like Amazon charge a card in multiple transactions as items ship, if certain parts of the order are on back order and ship separately, for example. I considered bringing this point up to Topspin (who charged the card the full amount immediately and then presumably passed a portion of that along to Audiolife as a fee for them shipping the physical merchandise)... but then I received my CD and didn't bother... haha.

It seems that after the delay with the vinyl pressing, then the fulfillment company only received half their order, so they were only able to ship half the orders. They are expecting to receive the rest of the vinyl today or tomorrow, and will be shipping the rest of the orders as soon as they can.

Spoke with Page after the Cleveland show, and he reiterated delimanHelmetfan's post above. Wanted to listen to the physical CD before the show but obviously it hasn't arrived with the rest of the box, so I had to download it from TopSpin. The link wasn't working so I e-mailed them Saturday at 7:20PM. Received an e-mail on Sunday a 5:19PM with a working link. Can't wait to hear the other shows on the USB key, especially since I was at the Magic Stick show in Detroit in 2007.

Well guess what came in the afternoon mail today? I checked and lo and behold, a package from Audiolife! Finally got my Deluxe Edition! It did also come with a small poster signed by all the band members. Thought you guys would want to know that it looks like they are finally starting to roll out the packages.

ARRIVED TODAY Oct. 14

I'm enjoying the live shows. Over the four different sets, there is a nice selection from the whole Helmet catalog (including Revenge Destroys Everything). Obviously some songs like Unsung and Milquetoast appear more than once, but it's kinda fun to compare different versions. Quite a bit of Aftertaste, although sadly no "Broadcast Emotion" or "Insatiable". "Disagreeable" would have been nice too, but I don't know if Page plays that anymore.

The sound quality is good for what appear to be soundboard recordings; the USB stick with the HELMET logo is a cute little souvenir. One minor quibble: the live mp3's were only ripped at 192kbps; I don't see why they couldn't have been 320; there is definitely enough room on the 1-gig memory stick to still hold all four shows at the better compression rate.

Still, I am pleased with the package as a whole. Can't wait to see them next weekend in Baltimore and Chesterfield PA

I came home to LA from working in New Mexico last night Thursday and my package was waiting for me!

AWESOME packaging! This thing is HUUUGE. Opens up like an old school 12" book-style record and on on the left sleeve, the record package is WITHIN that sleeve. The front of this huge cardboard box is signed by Page. Within the left sleeve, you pull out the plastic sealed record and that itself opens up to another book-style record ALA the Star Wars 12" vinyl record (for those who remember that). I haven't removed the seal yet. And on the right side, there embedded within is the Helmet-labeled USB key and the cd itself.

Almost forgot to mention, this one had a fold out small poster signed by all members, as they promised. Freakin' AWESOME package. Never seen anything like it. There is some cool artwork all about too. Well, worth the wait. Helmet has been sooooo good to us fans. Eternally grateful.
