Vaccination + Thick/I Know + Milquetoast Live 93 vid

Postby RockMessiah » Sat Oct 07, 2006 10:12 am

I got a special gift for you today - after messing around with dozens of different mpeg editors I finally managed to extract some parts from my damaged Houston '93 vid and fixed up most of the asynchronity, merged everything back together and now you can view the pre-Betty version of Vaccination in all it's glory:

Also includes the joke with pouring Pepsi at the beginning and the FBLAII Intro at the end.
Was quite some work, hope you enjoy it.
If I get around to it, I might also add the Thick/I Know footage and others...

THANKS!!

You know, I've never heard a good quality version of "Thick." It's always been a bootleg version or a bad rip from the vinyl.

This version of "I Know" sounds awesome. Lyrics anyone?

Those lyrics are a total mystery to me, too, hehe.

Well I finally uploaded the Milquetoast vid too, which also had some lost synchronity, but I think I fixed it mostly.
Main difference to the album version are the additionial lyrics over the main riff. Now you got some more to wonder about, Eric :) .

Thanks for sharing the vids, RM! Seeing the guys play guitar helps me with my attempts at playing these tunes.

By the way, speaking of guitar playing, anyone else noticed that Page often does a sort of upward slides while playing open strings? It really confused me at first, especially because of the asynchronity the vids had. Is it just some personal habit or is there more behind it?
I noticed it on some Blacktop live vid, too, in which he does this slide thing while playing the first open string chord in the chorus riff.

Yeah I noticed that too. Seems a strange thing to do economically, but if it works for him, that's good enough for me!

Thanks for putting these up. Vaccination is still my favourite vid, I love both of the versions of that song.
