I'm new to the board so please forgive any noob questions right off the bat, but I've been trying to log onto the FTP site for the last few days and I've had NOTHING BUT TROUBLE! Initially, I couldn't even get on, but now, while I can log in, I can't download anything! It keeps giving me a 421 error and tells me I can't download. Can someone please help me?????

Hmmm well I think the problem is that you are not using an ftp software to log in and download songs. You're probably using your browser's ftp function. The result is that it tries to log in several times in a row and the ftp has an anti-spam built-in function so it will kick you out.

So here is the minimum needed to connect to the ftp.

It is strongly advised to install an ftp software, like WS_FTP or FlashFTP. Such a software will particularly allow you to connect without errors and also to resume your downloads if you are disconnected by mistake. This is crucial for big files.

The general login access for now is:

host: gauthy.kicks-ass.net

Thanks for keeping the ftp up. Some how I searched for it and found an old message board post where you said you were gonig to take it down. I wish I could say I had something to share. But it's a great site man. I'll have to go back when I have more time and get some things.

It used to work just fine for me. No extra software needed or anything.
