I'd say Helmet plays the songs faster live anyways. For example Blacktop becomes ridicilously fast (not Napalm Death fast but uber-Helmet fast).

I don't see it as a sign of disrespect. He bought the album, his job as a fan is done.

don´t really know if it´s disrespectful or not, but I see it a little bit like taking a piece of art which you like (e.g. painting) and then puting your own touch by cutting the painting up a rearanging the bits and pieces...and that does seem a bit strange for me.

Sucks to be me! :D

I should point out that I received an email response from Elise at TopSpin within 2 hours of contacting them, with my valid download links.

And this was on a Saturday evening.

Great customer service.

so....I just passed the track "White City" and was contemplating what phrases I've heard before that deal with the word heaven....and then unexpectingly "Your Bird Can Sing" came on and sent me into the depths of laughter

ahhhh

gotta go finish

just got through the first round and I can say that it will be listened to again shortly.

on a side note...when listening to the song "She's Lost", I was amazed to discover that the lyrics almost exactly portrayed an attempt I just made at love on Facebook.

seriously
I could elaborate..but Im stuck hoping for the best

My complaint is the track listing for that album's "feel and flow." The end of the song Seeing Eye Dog is also the Intro to White City, clearly the track order was different at one time.

DID THE SAME THING LAST WEEK AFTER ONLY ONE LISTEN: HERE MY TRACK ORDER

1. SEEING EYE DOG
2. WHITE CITY
3. IN PERSON
4. WELCOME ALGIRES
5. LA WATER
6. MISERABLE
7. SO LONG
8. SHES LOST.

Here's what I did:

1. Seeing Eye Dog, 2. White City, 3. Welcome to Algiers, 4. Miserable, 5. So Long, 6. In Person, 7. L. A. Water, 8. Revenge Destroys Everything, 9. She's Lost

While you guys talking about the order.. I know from Page that the orginal order before mastering was :
1.Seeing eye dog
2.So long
3.LA water
4.Welcome to Algiers
5.In Person
......and so on

During the mastering Page changed the order because song # 4 and 5 has simulare intro .

Thanks Jarek. As I mentioned earlier, I noticed the ending of Seeing Eye Dog and the intro to White City being the same. However, I just thought it was a cool intentional self-reference, not the accidental result of reordering tracks later in the process. So now I know I was right.

Has anyone received the pre-ordered CDs by now? I didn't see a post about it, so are you still rocking the download? (I do, well, a high quality CD copy from the Flac files that is. So awesome.)
Amazon.DE still says Sept. 17th. Well, I don't care...

No CD for me yet, and I'm getting quite annoyed by this delay. The front page still says pre-orders will be delivered by Sept. 7th, which was a week ago. I'm listening to the MP3's on my iPhone in the meantime (but loving the album, at least!).

The only e-mail I've received (other than the download one from TopSpin) was a response from Audiolife saying they were still waiting for the CDs from the management company... don't know who to believe.

They let me cancel my pre-order and I just picked it up at Best Buy today. I probably should have just done that to begin with. I absolutely hate the packaging in every way possible. Oddly shaped, horrible disc storage, thin, doesn't say Helmet on the spine, no booklet. I can post some pictures of it later.

Had you already downloaded the MP3's from the download e-mail at that point? If so, how much of the total did they credit you? I wonder how Best Buy even got it already if we didn't. Anyway, disappointed to hear about how the packaging is "Oddly shaped, horrible disc storage, thin, doesn't say Helmet on the spine, no booklet". I purchased it to get the booklet and an original CD with top quality sound, and of course because it's Helmet. Otherwise I would have just done the "digital only" option and also saved on shipping costs. I knew it was a digipak, but I can't believe it is too thin to even have a spine with the name on it, or that it has no booklet. I remember Page mentioning that the artwork continues to the inside and there is some cool effect to look at with a mirror... not sure what that means. So no booklet means no lyrics? And just minimal printed information on the inside of the cover or something?

Also, is the live CD packaged separately or somehow attached to the SED packaging? Thanks.

BA: Not to put you on the spot, but any chance you could ask the management company about what Audiolife is saying above? Thanks!
