Born Annoying was released in 1993, and is a collection of singles and B-sides recorded from 1989 to 1993. Page Hamilton (G & V), Peter Mengede (G), Henry Bogdan (B), and John Stanier (D). "Born Annoying (1989)", "Rumble", "Shirley MacLaine", "Geisha To Go", "Taken", "Your Head", "Oven", "No Nicky No", "Primitive", "Born Annoying (1993)".

Betty was released in 1994. Page Hamilton (G & V), Rob Echeverria (G), Henry Bogdan (B), and John Stanier (D). "Wilma's Rainbow", "I Know", "Biscuits For Smut", "Milquetoast", "Tic", "Rollo", "Street Crab", "Clean", "Vaccination", "Beautiful Love", "Speechless", "The Silver Hawaiian", "Overrated", "Sam Hell".

Aftertaste was released in 1997. Page Hamilton (G & V), Henry Bogdan (B), and John Stanier (D). Chris Traynor joined to perform guitar in subsequent concerts. "Pure", "Renovation", "Exactly What You Wanted", "Like I Care", "Driving Nowhere", "Birth Defect", "Broadcast Emotion", "It's Easy To Get Bored", "Diet Aftertaste", "Harmless", "(High) Visibility", "Insatiable", "Crisis King".

In 1998, Helmet broke up, and the members went their own ways.

There is a "Best Of" album that covers up to the original breakup: Unsung: The Best of Helmet 1991-1997. This is an overview of the band from the first four albums, PLUS "Just Another Victim" (w/ House of Pain, from the Judgement Night soundtrack), and "Disagreeable" (from the Feeling Minnesota soundtrack).

In 2004, Hamilton restarted Helmet.

Size Matters was released in 2004. Page Hamilton (G & V), Chris Traynor (G & B), and John Tempesta (D). Frank Bello played bass in subsequent concerts. "Smart", "Crashing Foreign Cars", "See You Dead", "Drug Lord", "Enemies", "Unwound", "Everybody Loves You", "Surgery", "Speak and Spell", "Throwing Punches", "Last Breath".

Monochrome was released in 2006 on Warcon Records. Page Hamilton (G & V), Chris Traynor (B), and Mike Jost (D). Jeremy Chatelain played bass in subsequent concerts, while Chris Traynor moved back to guitar. "Swallowing Everything", "Brand New", "Bury Me", "Monochrome", "On Your Way Down", "Money Shot", "Gone", "Almost Out Of Sight", "Howl", "410", "Goodbye".

Seeing Eye Dog was released in 2010 on Work Song. Page Hamilton (G & V), Dan Beeman (G), Chris Traynor (B), and Kyle Stevenson (D). Dave Case played bass in subsequent concerts. "So Long", "Seeing Eye Dog", "Welcome To Algiers", "LA Water", "In Person", "Morphing", "White City", "And Your Bird Can Sing", "Miserable", "She's Lost".

But in terms of new stuff...well, I hope but wouldn't bet on it. I am pretty sure there will be something in the future, and if it is only an updated 'best of' collection Unsung II. Or maybe a decent live recording of the upcoming Meantime tour.

I just updated it to include the "Crazy Night" thing. But yeah, I wasn't going the route of including pressings, etc... more to list the original release years, track listings, and band lineups of each album, plus the compilations and b-sides, singles, etc.

A best of collection for Helmet 2.0 could be cool, and so could an official live recording of a Meantime anniversary tour show. I probably wouldn't bet on any more new material either, at this point. Page could have one more Helmet album in him, but I think that would be the most (and I think he may have told BA he intended to release another album).

Oh, I actually meant that I bumped it because I had just made some new updates. Cleaned up the flow a bit and added some notes about some of the singles being available on iTunes, such as the remastered Betty b-sides.

Three AmRep 1991 releases each had the title "Ugly American Overkill":

1) A VHS tape containing two live performances each from four bands: Helmet, Tar, God Bullies and Surgery. Helmet's two songs were "Bad Mood" and "He Feels Bad." I posted this on YouTube if you haven't seen it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qn3ULAKOeJ4 This videotape seems to be extremely rare, as I've never found any documentation about it anywhere on the web.

2) A 7" vinyl containing one song each from that same four bands (the bands toured Europe in May 1991; these items commemorated that little tour). The Helmet track was "Taken" which later appeared on the "Born Annoying" comp. Incidentally, the Tar track "Compaction" was always one of my favorite Tar songs. Oh boy, I sound like I become a stickler for details like some guys on Discogs are...I love Discogs but sometimes it's too much. ("Please remove 'Black' from your submission, if no color is indicated it implies that the record s black" - followed by a 'all wrong' vote. )
