Stumbled accross this the other day in my "archives". Being 23 and in the throes of serious hero worship back in the day, I grabbed one of these set lists after the show. I'm 99% sure this one comes from the same show at the Fast Lane in Asbury Park, NJ where Page lied to the club manager for me in order to allow me to watch them sound check. He has always been so nice to his fans.
The ticket stub was paper-clipped to the set list, but I am virtually certain they can't be the same show because the Marquee show was jammed and I got there too late to get near the stage.
As was the standard throughout the early-mid 90's, they opened with Role Model. I think they opened with that song nine out of the ten times I saw them back then. Didn't matter which album they were touring; Role Model was gonna kick things off!
I don't remember what the encores were, i should have written them down but knowing me I was probably thinking "NO! Don't adulterate the precious set list in ANY WAY!!!" (God, do any of you guys out there sort of cringe at how out of hand your adoration for this band is/was? I still really love Helmet but back then it was almost like a religion to me.)
As I recall, the lines seperating groups of songs were the short breaks where Page might say a few words and the band took a short breath. Then they'd roar right through a few with barely two seconds between them. What a rush!
The thing I remember most about this Marquee show is how happy my friends and I were for Page and the gang, this was their first "big club" NYC headlining gig; Page must have spent at least two minutes getting high fives from the crowd after the last song.
